5th Annual 3v3 Cross-Ice Tournament and Raffle

On June 23-24, Space Coast Sled Hockey hosted our 5th annual 3v3 cross-ice sled hockey tournament and raffle. 28 teams, 112 players, and 50 games, in two days and total of 8 hours of hockey! We also had over 40 raffle prizes and baskets.

This year there were 8 teams in the very competitive police and firefighter division, with the Corbett’s of the Orlando Fire Department defeating the defending champs the Ice holes of Melbourne Fire Department. MFD, OFD, Brevard County Enforcers, BCSO and Melbourne PD all competed for the cup.

In the friends and family divisions, Team Security made up of Space Coast Sled Hockey players’ dads and the Mother Puckers made up of Space Coast Sled players’ moms realized how much harder the sport is than it looks from the stands. Their games were fun to watch especially when they played against their kids.

The fundraiser was a huge success, raising over $6,000 and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our many sponsors and volunteers. Coach Brad Cervi did an amazing job organizing, promoting and running the event, and recruiting teams.

Enforcers Charity Hockey Game

On June 8, 2019 the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Enforcers hosted the Central Florida Enforcers for the First Annual Enforcers Cup at the Space Coast Iceplex in Rockledge. The charity hockey game sponsored by the BCSO Enforcers, Can-Am Roofing and 321 Sportscast raised money for the Space Coast Blast Sled Hockey Program.

The stands were packed. Opening ceremonies included the National Anthem sung by Lisa Mick of the BCSO and puck drop by Space Coast Blast Youth Captain Tripp Skinner, accompanied by several of his teammates.

It was a very exciting game. The Central Florida Enforcers scored first but in the end the Brevard County Enforcers were victorious with a 9-4 win.

After the game, the teams got together for a group photo and check presentation to the Space Coast Blast in the amount of $1505!! Thank you to Coach Brad for organizing the event and for all the sponsors, participants and attendees!! Looking forward to the 2nd Annual Enforcers Cup next year!!
